Contributions with a fund or foundation.
Foundations and funds choose The Hunger Project because of our approach: personal contact, customization and a long-term relationship. They believe in people, equality and the world that can be fairer. Want to know what that could mean to your organization? Then read on.
Do you have any other form of investment in mind?
We like to think with you!

Working with The Hunger Project means:

Long-term involvement. We prefer to work together for several years, because communities need time to actually stand on their own feet.
Customization. We are looking together for a form of cooperation that fits your objectives. You will receive (made to measure) reports, will be kept informed through events and will learn (if you like) to know other investors in our network. And if you want to see the results of an investment with your own eyes, there is the possibility for some projects to go on an investment trip.
Transparency. We’ll show you what we do and how it goes, so you know you’re with a reliable Party working together. Our Annual reports and audit reports are public, and through us Monitoring and evaluation system (MEL) we continuously monitor whether our programs have the desired effect.
Our impact.
*Based on the results of the study of 60 Decibels from 2024 among 2,000 respondents in communities in our program countries. Want to see more range rates? Check out the report here.** This happened after working with The Hunger Project and WeForest on landscape restoration within it’Gewocha project’.
Ways to contribute.

You can also join one of our existing investment networks. Game Changers is committed to human, nature and animal life in Mozambique. Odisha’s 100 is committed to female leadership in the Indian state of Odisha.

You finance a specific program from beginning to end. Think of the 8-year development of an area in Africa, or a 5-year training of female village council members in a district in India.

Does none of the existing options fit? Then we’d like to think along. We are looking together for a form that matches your goals and timeline.
By seeing, feeling and experiencing it yourself, a paper-based project changed to reality. I found the conversations with The Hunger Project Mozambique very valuable. As a result, I became even more convinced of the approach and impact of The Hunger Project."
Examples from practice.
- From 2022 to 2025, Stichting Fairnell funded a programme in Malawi aimed at the position of girls, avoiding child marriages in three epicentres around Majete wildlife park. Parents, schools and local leaders participated.
- The Pro Juventute Foundation co-finances the girls’ program in the Indian state of Bihar between 2024 and 2026, where girls gained more knowledge about their fundamental rights and developed more self-confidence.
- And several enterprising families invest through their own foundation in female leadership in India, as a member of Odisha’s 100.
- Various foundations, together with companies, also invest in the restoration of the Gewocha forest in Ethiopia. There, residents of 14 villages work for ten years to restore 10,000 hectares of degraded land, some of which are food forests. This is how nature recovery, income and food security grow together.
