Big gifts.

Your investment in future generations.

Sometimes you want to do more than transfer a monthly amount. You believe in what is possible, and you want to feel it in what you give. A great gift to The Hunger Project is exactly that: a concrete investment in people working on a future without hunger, in Africa, South Asia and Latin America.

There is no fixed threshold. It could be a one-time contribution, or a multi-annual investment, where we can decide where your money is going.

Personal contact is in our genes.

The Hunger Project Nederland started in 1980 as a club of enthusiastic volunteers who talked on the street about the end of hunger. That feeling never went away. We work with a small, close team and have often known our investors personally for years. We like to keep you informed with real stories from the countries where we work, and you have a permanent point of contact for questions.

Why invest in The Hunger Project?

You know the money ends well. The Hunger Project is a CBF Recognised Good Purpose and has an ANBI status. At Vijzer we have been scoring the highest possible score for years in a row.

You invest in a proven approach that works. We’ve been working for almost 50 years at the end of hunger, from one conviction: People know best what their community needs. We do this in cooperation with local authorities, and we give women a central role.

You do it with others. Our investors often opt for long-term engagement. They believe in our approach and they support us. Not for a while, but as long as it takes.

You have personal contact with us. We think it is important that you have a permanent point of contact, and that your ideas, concerns or wishes are put in the right place.

Tax advantage.

Giving to The Hunger Project can be fiscally attractive. As a private individual, you can deduct your gift from income tax under conditions because we have an ANBI status. If you record it for at least 5 years by means of a periodic donation agreement, the benefit may reach 37% depending on your age and income. If you invest as a company, you can possibly deduct the gift from the corporation tax.

Tax benefit always depends on your personal situation. Check what applies to you via the Tax Office or your own advisor.

“Leave something of meaning.”.

Many investors of The Hunger Project opt for long-term engagement. You can also secure that support for future generations: through a legacy you lay a foundation for the future. Read more about how to continue the work against hunger through your legacy.

My family asks me why I keep working so hard. I tell them I only want one thing: to leave something meaningful. You’ll be remembered for the work you do. What I’m reaching now is forever. – Kamla Devi (in the picture).
