Vision, Commitment and Action.
The first step of change is to believe that it can be otherwise: fromI Can’ttoI CantoWe Can. This mindset change is central to our self-developed Vision, Commitment and Action (VCA) method.
Mentality change.
The heart of all the work The Hunger Project does is to train groups of people for mentality change. The first step is to dream that life could look different. If people believe they can do otherwise, they can take action to improve their lives.
VCA workshops.
In VCA workshops, participants from Vision to Commitment go to Action. We challenge people to shape their vision of a better future. They make concrete and feasible plans to realize those dreams. And carry out these plans yourself, with local resources and support from The Hunger Project.
The VCA method has once started in Bangladesh, and has now been applied and improved in tens of thousands of villages in many countries. In total, more than 2 million people followed a VCA workshop, from Mexico to Mozambique.
